Assalamu alaikum!!! Actually, from what I had learnt this ayah talks about the fard acts of worship in Islam. Allah doesn't expect us to do more than what we can. That is all the obligatory acts of worship are easy and is not a burden on mankind. It doesn't talk about the pain and suffering we can handle per se. Though many have said this can also be an added explanation to the ayah. But the basic explanation is the fard acts or worship is not made in a way to be a burden on any soul.

Amin ya Allah and may he surround our progeny with the same as well ya qahhar ya hayyu ya qayyum

I converted to Islam 33 years ago and my family/ elderly mom are Christian. I advised them with Dawah and they mock me behind my back. I don’t feel comfortable around my own mother and Islam makes me feel very guilty for staying away from her. My father and mother abused me emotionally and physically so I continue to stay away from her (he died) Oh Allah Forgive me please Ameen

The reason early Muslims were so against dogs was because they witnessed dogs with Rabies being killed, and Rabies is transferred through bites and saliva. These people assumed all dogs were devils, and their saliva is filthy. However, in the Quran, dogs are mentioned several times & they're not demonized.
